Each year, The Greater Long Beach
Chapter serves nearly 100 families who have suffered from a local disaster, most
often home or apartment fires. Red
Cross volunteers and staff respond to these disaster 24/7 365 days a year and
are there to provide a shoulder to lean on.
Depending on each individual or
families unique needs the Red Cross can provide short term assistance
with:
- Food
- Clothing
- Shelter
- Counseling
- Referrals to other organizations
that help with long-term needs
