Wilderness and Remote First Aid Course
Ideal for scouts, outdoor enthusiasts or employees in remote environments an hour or more from EMS response, our new 16-hour Wilderness and Remote First Aid course gives you the skills and confidence you need to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed. Course participants must be at least 14 years of age and possess current certification in adult CPR/AED. Wilderness and Remote First Aid Topics:
- Head (Brain), Neck and Spinal Injuries
- Wounds and Wound Infection
- Hypothermia
- Heat-Related Emergencies
- Allergies and Anaphylaxis
- Altitude-Related Illnesses
- Bone and Joint Injuries Burns, and more….
Prerequisite: A current adult CPR/AED certification is a prerequisite for participation in the Wilderness and Remote First Aid course. Participants must also be 14 years old before the class date and all minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Babysitter Boot Camp
Babysitter’s Training has been newly revised by the American Red Cross. The 3 day course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting video, role-plays and lively discussions. You’ll learn to be the best babysitter on the block. Plus, you’ll gain the confidence to make smart decisions and stay safe in any babysitting situation. You’ll learn how to:
- Supervise children and infants
- Learn the “Business” of Babysitting
- Get Certification in Babysitting, CPR and First Aid.
- Perform basic child-care skills such as diapering and feeding
- Choose safe, age-appropriate games and toys
- Handle bedtime and discipline issues
- Identify safety hazards and prevent injuries
- Care for common injuries and emergencies such as choking, burns, cuts and bee stings
- Communicate effectively with parents
- Find and interview for babysitting jobs
- Learn to respond to emergencies.

Dog First Aid Course
This 2 1/2 hours course provides individuals the knowledge and skills to provide immediate, temporary care to injured or sick dog until a professional veterinarian can provide medical care. Topics include breathing emergencies, including choking; cardiac arrest and CPR; life threatening bleeding; sudden illness, including poisoning, seizures, and heat emergencies; and various injuries, including how to approach and move an injured animal. Pet First Aid book is included.

CPR/AED and Standard First Aid Courses
This course teaches participants to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies. Useful textbok helps students retain skills and servers as a reference tool in an emergency. In addition to CPR, this course also includes training in using an automated external defibrillator(AED) on a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.
